From Kindergarten Teacher to Kennel Owner….
Over 30 years ago, Pam, a retired kindergarten teacher, and her husband David, a veterinarian, worked together to build the second phase of their dream contribution to the community. The first, a Veterinary practice providing high quality, trusted medicine to the local area was successfully rooted in the community for over 15 years. The second portion of their dream was to build a “home away from home” that animal lovers could trust with their beloved pets while they were out of town or working during the day. This dream became Country Estate Kennel.
A lover of animals her entire life Pam’s passion for pets began with not only dogs and cats, but also included ducklings, pidgeons, doves, ponies, and many horses. In fact, a blonde cocker spaniel in need of repair for a broken leg is how she and Dr. Lashley’s love story began.
Today, Pam takes great pride in providing high quality, loving care to all of the pets that she is fortunate enough to have board, daycare and receive spa treatments at the facility. In her own words, “there is no other job I will ever find where I am so loved each and every day.”
